On the one hand, analytical work, i.e. mapping of existing national arrangements (political measures and existing projects) in the field of adult education, was carried out by the core project team and in cooperation with the MESS. On the other hand, the above events served for the identification of examples of good practice related to these measures, mainly ESF-funded projects. Links between these measures and examples, and the UP Recommendation were defined. The structure of identity cards of measures as well as of examples has been defined as to serve for presentation in the e-portal, the e-compendium and in video publications. For the first version of the e-portal, a limited number of measures and examples have been described according to these structures – in the reporting period concentrated mainly on measures and examples in the field of education.

Currently in Slovenia there are several processes, projects, especially ESF financed, activities, measures and tools running or being used to provide priority target groups of (mainly low-qualified) adults (employed and unemployed) with opportunities
– to have their skills assessed,
– to acquire missing knowledge, skills and competences (literacy, numeracy, digital and wider), and
– to have their non-formal and informal learning validated and recognized.

All this is happening in line with the Adult Education Master Plan and consequent Annual Adult Education Plans. These activities take part at national and local level involving policy makers, agencies, education and training providers, social partners, employers and many other stakeholders from both sectors: education and training as well as employment. Information and guidance services, awareness-raising and outreach activities play an important role in these endeavours.
